Make Believe

Sometimes I think I read too many fairy tales as a child. The whole thing about castles, horses, knights, princesses, etc....where oh where did this come from and when did it start. Makes me wonder! If you ask me what type of movies I like, yes you guessed, anything with Medievial Times. I have a feeling my spelling is atrocious tonight. My favorite movie is Tristen & Isolde. I could watch it a hundred times...just like the movie Ever After with Drew Barrymore. Would these be called Chick Flicks...I can't for love or money get my husband to go to the movies, although after going with my sister when she was here visiting....3 adults, 2 young soon to be men, and drinks and popcorn were 47.00 dollars.....Just a minute, I think i just had a spell just thinking about it....How can they possibly charge that much, I believe that someone is building themselves a castle. When my sister told me how much I thought about how many people could eat off of 47.00 dollars...or how many groceries I could get with that money...I remember my Dad telling me that back in the day it was 25 cents for the movie, popcorn and a drink. Anyway I guess times are a changing...Sometimes it is nice to think of things that have nothing to do with real life. It is an escape I guess. So the picture is what I would want, their is a time for dreans and a time to stop dreaming and start living...Just suppose how it would be if they also had fairytales and what would theres be...Love your thoughts on this. I am riding the black horse at the ocean, with the water splashing and it feels like freedom and joy. I can do it here, so maybe its not a fairytale!

  1. Hi sister i laughed when i read your blog today. It was 47 dollars just for popcorn and drinks, you are forgetting about the movie admissions for another 45 dollars and those are the cheap tickets from CAA. You are so right times have changed. But like you i love those midieval movies , heck i like almost all movies. talk soon

  4. I LOVE the new digs here! Very, very swanky! And the crown? You know I'm digging it! There is nothing wrong with wanting the fairy tale...staying there for a visit. It helps to remember softer gentle things. Just don't forget the dragons that live there too!

  6. Cinner!! Your blog is beautiful...ok now you will have to share with me how you changed it!! I want to know because as you know I didn't have the same luck. Anyways I love the world of fairy tales, dragons ect. I always live there. I read alot of magical based books and books that are more science fiction than reality. I live in reality and thank you I would perfere to not have to read about it as well. When I read or go to the movies it has to take me away somewhere else. I believe that your mind needs the vacation wouldn't you agree?

  8. Crista you can just click on the left corner of my header, that will take you to the site I used, then once I picked out my header I just hit copy, then I went in to customize my header and hit paste. I did the same for the background too. Then the little birds for comments and welcome to my blog, i copied to my pictures and then just added them by customizing and added in the gadget as pictures. It took me about 3 hours, but I did not lose anything. After that I somehow had another background on my screensaver...don't know how that happened...but I like it so I left it...Good luck, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. hope you made out okay at work with your leg. Take care.

Oh the free hit counter i searched in google and this simple one popped up. So that is what I used. Copied and then added as a gadget...There are other ones out there, that some use, keeps track of where, when and other stats. I guess if your trying to increase your traffic there good. I just wanted simple or me and my mind would need a vacation in my make believe world.

Char, I like that and I like your family nickname, I can just see your great big L. Have a great day!
