First of all Thank you so much for the kind messages on my
last post. You are all so kind and I want to start off by
wishing everyone A Happy 2014!
Things that Have Happened Since I Last Posted!
My husband and I had the shock of our lives
on December 12th when his lottery ticket
won on the Extra and we won
one hundred thousand dollars.
Can you believe that we were besides ourselves,
we have never considered ourselves lucky
when it comes to finances,
especially since I became ill in 2003,
there had been some really tough
times which I never focused on
because we always knew we would be okay no matter what
because we had each other.
I remember once saying to my husband,
What would happen if we became homeless,
and he said he would always have me a big cardboard house,
and that is as far as our discussions would go.
My Mother in Law asked me today what we bought with our money,
I bought a new pair of glasses....they are Purple and I love them,
and I can see. My last pair was eight years ago.
My hubby bought me a new CPAP machine that I wear
at night for sleep Apnea. I am sleeping so much better.
Apparently my old one was on the Fritz!
......
So what does my husband buy for himself,
He comes home with a toilet seat that goes down on its own,
and he feels like a king.
He put it on and said Honey you got to come see this.
You should have seen his smile.
.....Otherwise we have been sensible,
paid off all Credit Cards, put money on mortgage,
RRSP'S .
It has been a stress reliever,
we have learned lessons to in this time.
..............
I contemplated about telling others about our happiness,
but it reinforces everything I believe in.
that no matter how bad things can be or are
to always try to Have Our Very Best Days,
no one never knows what is ahead or
around the corner or
what is planned for us next.
Enjoy, believe, and Have Faith,
we never thought we would ever win anything,
because we never had before, and when we did,
it took us almost two weeks to believe it was actually true!
We were also glad that it was not a huge huge prize,
because I don't think we would have been able to handle it.
....
What would you do if you ever won!
Wain always said he would call me from the airport
to call and say goodbye.
We would laugh,
we both have such a strange sense of humor.
.......
I hope this finds you all well,
and thank you to everyone whom sent me
Christmas and New Years cards.
Replies will be sent soon.

ReplyDeleteIf I won an amount like that, put money aside for my son's college fund. Then go on a trip to Paris and Tahiti. In that order.
