Thinking Positive

When you see the sun shine so bright, I do not know how you can not have a great day. Lately in my posts I keep saying Today is my best day. I truly do mean it. I believe our thoughts are so inherent to having a wonderful and productive day. I have had many bad days in my life and somehow that brighter day comes along, sometimes the next morning, or a couple days later. I read this quote the other night, "Waste not fresh tears over old griefs." by Euripides. It made me think of all the energy that I have wasted in my life over the same old things. I am in a place where I have no regrets, strong in my mind, learning lifes lessons at a fast pace and dealing with things head on. Maybe I should be grateful when something harsh or sad comes my way because I always always get through to my next Best Day!

  1. When harsh or sad things happen I try to forgive myself for needing to control the outcome...etc....and try to get back to a good day...

  2. I always try to find something good in bad situations. And when I find it hard, I just look back on my life and count all the good things that the Lord has blessed me with. Makes a bad day turn around! Great picture!

  4. We cannot hide out and never have to deal with things that are unpleasant or painful. You are wise enough to understand that how you deal with things and how you are when you come through it are what make you stronger and healthier and more human.

  6. as the seasons are turning, here towards spring and summer, and the temps have been climbing, the days getting (a bit) longer, the trees and flowers budding, i was beginning to wonder what the hell was wrong with me. why is this not bringing the energy, the cheer, the new lease on life i'm seeing all around me... and today, the first day of spring, finally, something has shifted and clicked into place, and i can echo your 'today is a good day'...

  8. those old boys, like Euripedes, knew their bidness, didn't they? what a FABULOUS quote, in the context of your sure-fired words. Although I love sunlight, like your photo, it's a certain kind of fresh-sultry breeze that straightens me up if I'm feeling pissy or sulky or down.

  9. Good Morning Cinner, I am much older than you are and I can honestly say the best lessons I have ever learned have come from the most terrible times, I appreciate the good days but have learned so very much from the bad days. I am so thankful for these days and the lessons I have learned from them....life is good. Have a wonderful day......:-) Hugs

  10. Keep up your positve attitude, Cinner!
    I really like it!
Each day I tell myself, "I can handle anything that comes up today ...
even if it only for a moment at a time."

May this be your BEST DAY...make it so and it shall be just that!

  12. a pastor at church just the other week said something that I've tried to think about and make sure I don't allow to happen to me; he said "the past should be a reference point, not a residence". So many people get stuck in their past or re-hashing things that should have been, could have been, would have been. It is nice to come to the place where you are with no regrets, a great attitude, and positive thoughts :)

  14. your positive attitude is contagious !

I often think about what I've wasted or lost or didn't see as I've grown all these years....and what I do know now, is that you only regret what you didn't do....not what you did....

I like that way of thinking !!

  15. Beth, me too. I used to want the old me back, now I really feel good since I have accepted whom I am now. I think I am throwing can't right out of my vocabulary. Big Hug.

Christina, Thankyou, a word of praise on a picture means so much coming from you...you have no idea. Have any more bells rang in your house today. lol

Betty, wow that is a powerful statement. the past should be a reference point, not a residence. How very, very, powerful. Thankyou.

Char, thankyou, you too girl, stronger than we know.

Margie, I was so blue when my Dad died and I have realized that time is too valuable to waste any of it. I am going to be the best I can be, live the best I can and make the most of every day. Thanks for all you do. c

Bernie, a big hug to you, how does the saying go, God never gives us anything we won't be able to handle. I am realizing that more and more. Have a great day. Be well.
