Hi Everyone,
Above is a picture of the falls I was at this fall.
I have been watching the news over the week,
and my thoughts and prayers go out to all whom
were effected by the storm in the States and in
Eastern Canada. I hope everyone I know from here
is safe and sound.
I don't think one can truly understand unless they
go through it themselves.
.........
In 1983 or 1984 a bunch of us girls were boarding
at the YWCA in Saskatoon. There was a torrential
down pore The rain came so fast it flooded the building
and took the building right off the foundation.
That old building was on the corner of 124th Street
and 3rd Avenue.
A couple blocks away you could hardly tell it had rained.
I remember all of us girls going down the street in the rain.
We were young and resilient. We were a great bunch,
we all seemed to take care of each other.
Most of us were boarding there while we were
going to school.
It really was one of the best times of my life.
I remember our times their so fondly.
We all moved out and most of us
went our separate ways.
Two of the girls and I are still friends to this day.
I have always been grateful for friends that took me in.
I remember phoning my Dad and telling him,
there was a flood. He did not believe me until
he watched the news the next day.
I kept saying seriously Dad, I am not kidding!
...............
Our experience was nothing like the Storm now,
but everyone seems to work together and help each other.
That is what I have been watching on the news.
The good and loving people far outweigh the bad.
Keep each other close and God Bless.
Until next time,
Cinner
It is truly right and beautiful to see neighbors rallying to help one another. I thought your dad not believing you was funny! You never know with kids right? Even the older ones!
