What is Up May Come Down

This is my backyard, there is just nowhere to go.
When I see this picture I think of a big
Ice Creme Sandwich
if only
The bump at the very back is my poor car,
and all through my yard there are mountains of white covering big pots,
statues and ornaments that I have left out.
You notice very few footprints in the snow,
Right now we can not get to our shed,
or the back gate,
it has been melting the last few days
but because of the warm weather we are supposed to get freezing rain.
Roofs have come down in the city,
today one of the senior citizens rec centers collapsed from the weight of the snow.
Thank goodness nobody was hurt.
They have helicopters flying over the city looking for cracks in the snow,
apparently it indicates a weak roof.
You just never know what will happen next,
for today I am glad I have a roof over my head!
Until next time,

  1. whew you got dumped on...ours is coming tomorrow...hope the roof holds...

  2. Wow Cinner, this is simply amazing! I haven't seen that much snow in many, many years. Stay warm and dry! Love Di ♥

  3. oh dear - hope you stay safe and warm

  4. oh my lord, cindy....
i don't know how you do it.....stay safe. stay inside.and stay warm.

  5. Snow....snow....snow....It's so beautiful to see. Yes, you should stay indoor. Still, I love snow....

  6. My Rare One used a ladder and snow rake to take off most of the snow from our house and garage roofs. So much work!

  7. Oh dear! That is some snow!! I have to say...I am glad we don't have it here! It has been very very cold...but no snow! Woot!! Woot!!
I too hope your roof holds as well. That wouldn't be good at all!!!
Keep an umbrella handy just in case! Ha!

  8. Your car is somewhere under there I guess. We have a small garage and the car fits into it. That is a shame about the roofs caving in from the weight of the snow. Be safe.

  9. Wow, that is a lot of snow!! We had that much last year.. not quite so much this year.

I am very happy that you have a roof (without cracks) over your head too my friend!!
    Take care & Stay WARM!!!
