Going in Circles.

I think I am addicted to editing photos.
This was a picture of my hubby.
Amazing what technology can do.
So I got a phone call from my Mom on Friday,
she says that they had a huge storm, and when she got up she
could not see out of any windows of the house.
Then she told me she had to chip her way out of the house
by using a dust pan to get the snow away from the door.
It was a wet, heavy snow and the way the wind was blowing,
she was snowed in.
Apparently one of the churches have flooded in the town,
with all the snow melting and the creek running through town.
so now when this dump melts, of course more water.
My prayers are going out to all the people that have endured the storms
in the States. I know this we have to cherish every moment we have.
I seem to be going round and round in circles lately,
and the more I do the further behind I seem to get.
My mind is in overdrive with all the projects
I have in my head to get done before I
have my Surgery the end of June.
Why do these jobs become so important now?
We have been in the house for eleven years
and suddenly I think I
need to do everything now.
I just reread this and I realize
the only reason I am complaining
is because I am tired from too much sun today in the yard.
So this party girl is off to bed at 8.17 pm, (lol)
Sunday my favorite day of the week,
passes once again too quickly.
A reminder to Canadians...
Get out and Vote  on Monday.
Take care,

Believe in Possibilities.

I am learning to layering of pictures,
trying to teach myself.
I find the more I play with them
the more I learn.
I have photo impress 4.
The fairy image is courtesy of Magic Moonlight Studios.
and the background I believe is from Blogology.
I have a list where to get lovely images so you may want to see there.
I added the text, the butterflies, some roses, and the butterflies,
and played with the texture. I love the final result.
..............
I have always had a love for fairies, they make me think anything is possible.
Believe in Possibilities!
............
The sun came out on the weekend,
My Godchild spent Saturday night visiting.
She is eight. We made bracelets,
She wanted to learn how to crochet.
That was too hard, we had pizza,
and later she asked if we could have ice creame,
Sure go get the pail from the freezer and bring two spoons.
So she kind of looks at me funny, I took the lid off,
and there we sat eating ice cream together out of the pail.
Well she figured this was the best thing ever,
She had never been allowed to do this before.
I said it will be our secret, that  we usually don't eat from the pail,
but it was just about empty.
Then the dog licked out the little bit on the edges,
and I said well there now the dishes are done too.
She was grossed right out, oh she makes me laugh.
So on Sunday I opened my doors and let the fresh air into the house,
The sun was shining most of the day,
The birds were singing and I was happy in my heart.
I hope you all had a great weekend.
I wish you all a wonderful week!
Believe in the possibilities.

Off the Top of My Head....a little bit of Random.

Good Morning Everybody!
Here is another picture that makes me cheery.
Flowers, butterflies and crystal.
Three of my favorite things.
I love the colors the sun makes as it hits some of my crystal
causing prisms to dance upon my walls.
You see pinks, purples, blue, green
dancing on my walls,
my cat jumping trying to catch the colors,
occasionally there will be claw marks down my walls,
and I know she has been at it again.
If I had my way I would have thousands of crystals hanging in my windows,
of course there would be hundreds of wind chimes outside too.
I do have a few of each and they make my day when I listen to the sounds,
all different and all beautiful.
Speaking of sounds what talented girls and guys they have on
American Idol, such talent. I think a lot of them will have great careers ahead of them.
Life just has that funny way of working out.
Keep dreaming, keep loving, keep believing.
I hope you have the very best of Days!
be well.

I think Fairies Dwell in My Two Pictures, Fairies and Fireflies!

colors make up the passion in ones soul,
for life, excitement, adventures
and ones imagination.

Colors can soothe you, compliment you,
irritate you, distress you,
cheer you and enfold you.
colors can make us explore
areas of the mind that
without color would lay dormant.
colors are like books,
each having their own story.
like words on a page.
Favorite colors change from day to day
effected by different stages of our lives.
What is your favorite color and why
I would love to hear.
The two pictures above were photos of flowers that I had taken,
then I played with textures and the end results.
If you wish to copy either image,
go ahead.
hope this finds you well,
have a wonderful day.

It is Almost Like Art!

So what happens when the hot water tap
burst off the taps
on a very cold day in Canada.
There was water everywhere,
and there was so much steam from the hot water
I did not have access to the shut off valve
which was in the crawl space.
Note to self...need to be able to lift trap door!
Hubby saved the day as he rushed home from work,
in the meantime and there is no other way to put this.
I about froze my glass off.
....

I can be grateful it warmed up today.
All the ice crystals have melted,
I found new taps online
.......
I wonder how fast the tap flew by my head.
No one was hurt during this fiasco.
Have a great weekend,

Monday Morning and All is Well!

Here it is Monday morning again. It is supposed to be beautiful
and by that I mean right around zero degrees.
That will be beautiful, however it will make for pretty slick roads
when it freezes later in the evening.
We went out yesterday. I got together with seven of my friends
for our get together before Christmas. We used to buy each other
gifts but the last few years we have been doing a baking exchange.
So it was fun, hubby is taking a bunch of it to work tomorrow.
Thank goodness, it is the last thing I need in here.
So today is going to be a day of walking the dog ,
wrapping some gifts with my husband.
a few things around the house,
and then watching the movie
Seven pounds.
So all in all a quiet day,
and that is good
sometimes you sure need them.
Have a great day.
...........
p.s.
I have just been playing around with textures
if you feel like copying one go ahead.
Until next time.

Odds & Ends.

Hi Everybody,
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving,
Yesterday it was such a beautiful day here,
the sun was out, the air was so fresh,
it was only minus four, it was simply
wonderful.
The above picture is a little
Christmas Tree I made
It was the first or
second year
was
ill.
To me it was one of my favorite trees
because we were together,
I had no energy for much,
so we really appreciated
every little thing.
So I am
now officially in Christmas mode,
I just have to make some decisions
as to where we will be for Christmas.
but in the meantime I still have to get my cards out,
baking done, packages wrapped,
and then right after my nephew is getting married January 15.
So I have a feeling this month is going to fly by.
So I am going to make a list and start being more organized.
My hubby and I have the weekend together,
It is Grey Cup weekend here,
so the town is abuzz with all the excitement.
I am glad the weather warmed up too,
I can't imagine if it had been as cold as last week.
................
I won't be around much over the weekend,
so plan on catching up with all of you next week.
May you embrace your day
and Have your Very Best Day!

Give your Head A Shake!

So today I have to tell you about my last few days
I have had a bad cold, for about four days,
coming along fine, still feeling a bit under the weather.
Why do they say that, under the weather.
I don't know, but apparently that is how I am feeling.
Am I to assume that if I was not sick, I could say I am on top of the weather.
Hmmmmm.
So hubby arrives home after work tonight and says,
Oh my, Are you okay, are you feeling sicker?
Did you not have a good day?
Hmmmmm
It took every ounce of loving control I could muster
to not kick him out of the house,
and tell him to come back in and lets start the night over.
Hmmmmmm
I said to him, I am feeling better, I did have a good day.
He replies Are you sure?
I said Hello Honey I am home, nice to see you.
What do you mean, Am I sure?
Hmmmmm
Well your still in your pjs he says,
to which I reply and say well your still in your work clothes.
Okay so that did not make sense, maybe the cough syrup was kicking in.
Hmmmmm
Then he says, "would you like to go out for supper"
I say no I am sick.
He said, thats what I have been trying to tell you all night.
Hmmmmm
Dear God, please give me strength !
lol
...............
I hope this finds you all well,
the electric fireplace is on,
the snow continues to fall outside,
and I think one more day of this
and all should be well again.
Have Your Best Day Ever,
remember to laugh at the insanity
that sometimes is in our lives!
It is the best medicine.

Don't Mess With A Moose.

This is one of my statues I have in my garden,
I am posting it here today because I am so grateful
for so many things.
Today I got a message from my best friend,
Hit a moose last night, they had to put it down.
that was the message,
and I am thinking to myself,
and, and, and are you okay.
Updated later in the day that she is stiff and sore,
and that her car is totaled.
All I could think of was how Huge a Moose is!
This is the only picture I have of a Moose.
A few years ago when I went with my brother up North
we saw 17 that night. They are usually in pairs.
Dusk is the worst time when your driving.
Years ago a Moose ran right in front of My older sisters van,
all I remember is the great big head, and these long gangling legs,
that seemed to just fly right past us.
It was a miracle that we did not hit the moose that night.
The above photo was taken up North a few years back.
It was amazing and that feeling of being lost in the wilderness
well I felt it, I had never been anywhere where you had to sign in
to go past a certain point, and if you did not return in so many hours,
they put out a search party.
This is a painting my best friend made for me.
I love you Neener!
I hope your not aching too much tonight.

happy Canada Thanksgiving!

Today  Eye thought to do something a little different.
On Monday I am having Friends
and family over for Thanksgiving,
That is what I am most thankful for this year.
We will sit around eating turkey, and all the fixings.
I love these get togethers. They are too few to get all our family together
because of everyone being spread out. So we try to enjoy each other when we do.
Yesterday I was outside raking and bagging leaves, now the trees are bare,
I could only do so much. I think there is way more leaves this year than last/
I could be wrong, maybe it just seems that way when you are bagging them. LOL.
All the leaves I put in orange bags, so that I am ready
for Halloween at the end of the month.
Usually every year we get snow on Halloween.
Yesterday on the news I heard they were trying to change the date of it,
maybe the 15th. I don't think that will happen.
We usually have a couple of pumpkins,
to set the mood.

So while raking leaves, there were still a few flowers that have come,
We have had frost and yet with our nice weather a few have sprung up
and graced us with their prescence.
Even one small miniature rose which was a great surprise.
I have five plants and only one bud on them all.

Nothing right now to see the bugs and even an odd butterfly
flitting about in the yard.
They are flying slower than usual.
and soon will be gone.
Hubby and I danced in the yard in the middle of the day,
we must have danced too hard because it rained
and then we spotted a rainbow.
It gave us great joy,
even though we could not find the
pot of gold at the end of it.
It really was a lovely day,
when you have faith and hope,
you can live and laugh and enjoy.
My friend Tabitha  has a blog named I Choose Bliss
and she inspires me everyday. Please pay her a visit
and check out her Family Mission
of spreading smiles one goody bag at a time.
She is a real love and one very inspirational woman.
There is so much love here in blogland.
Now I usually carve rocks,
but have not done any this year because of arthritis in my hands.
Please go and check out Kim Mailhout at Queen of Arts
She is known in Blogland for her wonderful
Rock My World Rocks that she sells through Etsy.
You will be amazed at her artistic abilities.
Love, love, love her.
Please go have a look and it is also her birthday tomorrow, Oct. 9th
So please wish her a happy birthday, she would like that.
I wish you all a very
Weekend
May you ponder what you are Thankful for
and for those of you fellow Canadians.
Have a Great Thanksgiving,
and everyone a wonderful weekend.
take care
.....
p.s.
My Godchild gets all my little rocks to play with,
we make up stories with them.
She has such an imagination!
...........
I am thankful that we are all unique and perfect just as we are.
Hugs!

People Watching

Last time I walked here was over a year ago,
I love it there,
on the weekend I want to go and sit and draw,
and people watch, I like to do that,
young couples holding hands,
walking fast, places to go and people to see,
sometimes there is someone playing guitar,
I smile showing my appreciation,
I like to sit with the elderly,
some are so alone,
they tell me their stories of days gone by,
we share a laugh and sometimes a cry,
I love to see an elderly couple walking together holding hands,
slowly and meticulously they care for one another,
years of together showing how much they are still in love,
I love to see little children as they walk past their parents,
some come right up and say hello,
while others sheepishly hide behind a pant leg,
I love to watch people walking with their dogs
and sometimes the owners look a lot like their pets,
I have never understood carrying a little dog
while you are out for a walk, or when they carry them in a little bag.
I am sure they want to run or walk too.
I like to take pictures of tourists, they are always thrilled when they get a group picture,
I say hello to homeless people, sometimes it is enough to make them smile.
Every one has a story. sometimes just by watching, you can get a sense of them.
Happy, Sad, Lost, Angry, Forgiven, Forgetting, Singing, Laughing, Alone,
Lonely, Boisterous, Shy, Outgoing, Loving, Kind,
and most of all
People Really Want to Feel Needed and Understood,
and Appreciated!
I hope today you make Someones Day,
If I get to draw this weekend,
I will post those drawings.
Have your Very Best  Day Ever!

FaDoodling! and Updates

Well in the middle of the night,
I can't sleep,
so I was doing some fadoodling on the Computer.
Maybe snow and ice skates could wait for awhile,
as it is only  September 3,
...............
What I have noticed is how quickly time is flying,
Hubby is on holidays for the next 9 days,
He got very little time off over the summer,
so I am really looking forward to it.
We have many things on the to do list,
which may or may not get touched.
So if I am not around much,
you know why.
...........
Some updates,
The fake owls the next door neighbor put in his yard to keep the pigeons away,
worked like a charm.
The sign from my anniversary is now hanging on a wall in my office,
My new point and shoot camera is somewhat of a dud,
lost reciept so it is a keeper.
No more doctors appointments until mid October,
I still am addicted to Young and the Restless,
only 5 days a week for an hour a day,
at which time I try to exercise,
and predict what will happen next.
I should be employed as a writer,
as I seem to be able to predict pretty well,
I turn 47 this month,
I cut my own hair again this week,
What possesses me,
I know not,
Lets just say the front is a cute looking boy,
that possibly has bald spots on the back of the head.
The cute looking boy may not leave her house for 3 weeks
until it grows out,
My husband says it looks good,
I need to know compared to what..
My sisters wedding is rescheduled  now for April 2,
instead of this Saturday.
note to self,
don't cut hair again until after the wedding.
lastly I still did not buy a kite,
but it is on the to do list,
hope to get some pics for you.
Have a great long weekend,
Don't sweat the small stuff.
for most of it just does not matter.
Until next time,

Happy Birthday Neener,

Everyone needs a best friend.
I have three my husband, my sister, and my girlfriend
Neener
And today is Neeners birthday!
So I am hoping I get a hold of her before she goes to work.
and I will sing to her off key of course on purpose,
Happy Birthday,
she will laugh and then tell me I am too noisy in the morning.
How old is she it does not matter,
she will always be younger than me!
She painted me the above pair,
which I think is awesome,
she loves color,
and she loves me,
just like I love her,
she knows everything there is to know about me,
and I her.
We are quite a pair,
she is one of the best cooks I have ever come across,
makes a wonderful espresso,
the best homemade pumpkin pie I have ever tasted,
the voice of an angel.
I thank you Janine for being there for me,
even if you were annoyed at me,
or wanted to kick me for having my own pity party,
or for singing your songs at Karaoke,
I figured I would mention it before you do.
Thank you for being my oldest and best baby sitter I ever had.
That was quite the new years for you but I appreciate it more than I can put into words.
Thanks for all the times you tell me to go to bed, and not in those words.
how about this phrase....NOW!
and you tell me not to use capitals when I am posting.
how was I to know it meant yelling.
I hope you have a fabulous day,
I hope you got my email about us postphoning coming to see you.
I will find out when I talk to you.
but just as we used to,
I could just show up like we used to,
that is what I miss the most with you living so far away.
our phone calls in the middle of the night,
saying are you up, and then me coming for popcorn or coffee,
okay so most of the time I made you come to my place,
Ya ya, Lord you won't ever let me live that down.
Remember our walk in the freezing cold,
I knew that would make you laugh.
I hope you have your Very Best Day Ever!
I love you.
...............
I have many acquaintances and people that I know,
and unfortunately some have come and gone,
and Neener and I will always be best friends,
There is no doubt in my mind.
I consider myself very blessed.
And I will always Love You,
yes I am thinking about how beautifully you sing that song.
Miss you much.
...........
I hope you all enjoy this day,
September 2,
and may you have your
Best Day Ever.

Put some thought into it.

Here is a photo of one of my tatoos,
the camera does not pick it up very well,
it is still quite bright but remember it has faded a lot over time.
Twenty years ago.so this one is the butterfly, rose, rainbow one.
This is my first tatoo I had gotten,
my ex had matching birds on his chest
which he let me do,
I was quite impressed with it,
but never did another one,
Lots of times I would do the drawings for clients,
my favorite was a wolf that changed into a man.
............
My third tattoo I do not have a picture of it,
It is a geisha lady going over a bridge,
It is about half finished because it is on my back,
and it hurt,
and then I became alergic to the red ink,
so every time I go in the sun it raises a bit,
After we got divorced I just never had the interest to have it finished.
That phase had passed for me.
...................
I would really recommend to anyone getting them
to make sure they really give it some thought,
and to make sure they go to a reputable tatooist
that follows all health guidelines.
I would also not recommend getting a tattoo
on your face, neck or hands,
as you can easily be stereotyped,
although it is much more common today than it was when I had mine done,
especially on the lower back.
Some doctors will not do a spinal anymore
during childbirth because of the ink
and the risk of it getting into the blood stream.
,,,,,,,,,,,,,
so anyway I had promised some pictures.
words of advise,,,,don't get a tattoo because you like the tattooist,
and most tatooists will not tattoo a name.
Because life is too unpredictable,
name changes don't usually turn out to good on skin,
strange thing is sometimes no matter if good or bad,
you can be left with an imprint on your heart,
scars and tattoos usually fade after time.
so there you have it.
Now you know.
Have a great day,
take care,
