Soon It Will Be Playtime!

I  can hardly wait to get out in my yard again this Spring.
There is nothing that gives me greater peace.
Flowers blooming, birds singing, the pets laying in the sun,
fresh cut grass, the fresh air intoxicating, always a new project,
fresh turned soil to play in, full of nutrition for the flowers
and vegetables, my Venus statue that I love, to me I go on
a holiday every time I step outside. It is where I usually am
from dawn to late evening.
Soon I will be loving every minute of it.
Hope you are having a great week.
Until next time,
Cinner

A Part of My Paradise!

Outside my back door,
the pleasant smell of lilacs lingers in the air,
pleasant, soothing, present.
A gift only for a few short days
The colors different hues of purple, lilac, soft whites
whispering touch me, smell me,
breathe in my esscence
One of the ladies in the garden with the alabaster skin
stands on guard,
the protector of the flowers is my Venus
her beauty as daunting,
marble chiseled into such form.
Treasure!
She seems to smile
on the sunny days when color surrounds her.
Days when sun and shadows fight for glory,
A much too noticeable dance they play.
The bright yellow in strong contrast of the purples
standing high amongst the branches
that reign supreme over head
The stains upon the flowers left behind
from the last windy rainy day,
still beautiful., are these like laugh lines
on someones face,
more beautiful because they are there...
Once again the clouds roll in sending me a wild mustang in the right corner,
How wild and free, she must float in the clouds,
and in the other corner someone is watching,
do you see the face,
and by the mustangs neck do you see the heart shape?
no need for editing, enjoy take it all in.
As the clouds darken the skies,
the lady of the garden prepares for night,
stoic and on guard.
The aromas of the lilacs lingering as friendly reminders of the day.
The flowers slowly wrap their petals into protective mode,
In the morning once again they will unfold,
and open to greet the day,
They will reach for the sun baking in the warmth,
waiting proudly for someone to acknowledge
the gift and joy they give to the world.
...........
.Have a beautiful weekend.

It Started Out OK.

So Mothers Day started with the sun beaming in my kitchen window.
This is a new piece I bought after my sisters wedding.
So my day starts off beautifully every morning.
Even the cat knows the best place to be in the morning,
She was having an attitude because I ran out of temptations.
A friend came over
with a small beautiful pink miniature rose plant.
So my day was going perfect.
I love roses, I always feel bad for my Mom because she is so allergic.
My favorite color  are pink roses.
Anyway hubby calls as he worked during the day,
he says, Meet me at the front door.
As I was walking to the door I was thinking he probably
had roses, so imagine my surprise when down
by his feet was this little one.
I am still in shock. She is only six weeks old.
Hubby said, he thought she would be better than roses.
He even named her Rosey, just not fair I say.
He went for groceries and there was a van with puppies for sale.
We have always got our pets from the SPCA.
so I have been going back and forth from
I did not want another dog, to holding her in my arms,
to going outside in the middle of the night in my pjs with her,
and already losing my heart to her.
And I have lost hours of sleep too.
..............
So how was your weekend?
Have your Best Day,
Cinner

Off the Top of My Head....a little bit of Random.

Good Morning Everybody!
Here is another picture that makes me cheery.
Flowers, butterflies and crystal.
Three of my favorite things.
I love the colors the sun makes as it hits some of my crystal
causing prisms to dance upon my walls.
You see pinks, purples, blue, green
dancing on my walls,
my cat jumping trying to catch the colors,
occasionally there will be claw marks down my walls,
and I know she has been at it again.
If I had my way I would have thousands of crystals hanging in my windows,
of course there would be hundreds of wind chimes outside too.
I do have a few of each and they make my day when I listen to the sounds,
all different and all beautiful.
Speaking of sounds what talented girls and guys they have on
American Idol, such talent. I think a lot of them will have great careers ahead of them.
Life just has that funny way of working out.
Keep dreaming, keep loving, keep believing.
I hope you have the very best of Days!
be well.

Tulips, Light, And My thoughts, and Bernie!

hello to all,
I had a 48 hour rest and feel better.
The surgeries I just play a waiting game,
hopefully they will happen soon,
so I get my rest and all will be well.
These tulips gave me so much joy today,
I felt happy and alive,
I felt the promise of Spring
to come soon on this minus 40 below day.
The sun shone for a while, so I started to play with my new Digital
Canon from Hubby for Valentines. Call me a Happy Girl!
My dog Kula being housebound because of the weather
has taken it upon himself to watch my every move
in the hopes that there must be a treat for him soon.
Ha Good Luck with that one until much later.
I relaxed early evening with tea lights lit in the living room.
I could watch the twinkle and glow for hours,
simply hypnotizing and dreamy.
I lay on the couch, soft music was playing,
Hubby was reading Sports Illustrated.
I was thankful, I felt loved, I felt hardships and pain
that a few of my friends have been going through,
I lay there and prayed that they find peace,
and understanding during the grieving process.
I want to wrap my arms around my one friend Bernie,
whom has lost 4 people recently.
I wish her strength when she speaks today of the loss of a dear friend.
I know she will do well because she speaks from the heart.
I feel saddened by her pain and grief that she will go through,
she is so strong, and she made a comment saying that if I
needed anything to just call her. There is no end to her kindness.
can  you imagine of always thinking of others first.
She has a special gift and is a very kind and wise woman.
Odd that I have never met her, I have talked to her on the phone
and feel like I have know her for a long time.
I hope your weekend is bright and cheery.
and that we can all enjoy and somehow
with the light remember all the goodness
that comes our way.
Have faith.

A Little Trouble Making A list.

I was sitting today thinking about what I wanted for Christmas,
I truly can say I want for nothing,
That is a good feeling and how truly blessed I am,
My husband said well surely you must want something,
I paused and thought well okay,
I said to him I want more sunny days than overcast ones,
Even in the cold when the sun shines it is so beautiful,
so yes that would be what I want.
That is very important to someone with a sleep disorder,
................
Okay he said I can't help you with that one.
What do you need?
I said I don't need anything.
I said I have all my arts and crafts to keep me busy,
my computer to play on,
I have my pets,
my friends, my family, my husband.
I said if there are things throughout the year I need
you go out and get them.
He said well yes but they are just everyday things.
I said you know the only thing I need sometimes
is to still cry about my Dad, and you hold my hand
and we remember. So If I needed anything
I would need to tell you how I cherish our lives.
.....................
He said Okay you must wish for something,
I said yes I wish for good health for you and I,
I wish forgiveness to those who quarrel,
I wish for compassion for the needy,
I wish for warmth for the homeless,
I wish for food for the hungry,
I wish for hope and faith restored,
I said yes I wish to be kinder
and more loving to those I
know and don't know.
...............
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
He said you are really not being very helpful for Christmas ideas,
I said Why don't you write me a poem,
they are so special to me.
I said even when you write about hockey,
and our life being a sport.
I said yes that is what I would like.
He smiled and we were both happy.
..................
I smiled inwardly knowing that he would not write this poem
until the 24th of December,
he writes like he Christmas shops.
at the very last moment.
I know it will be the
Very Best Christmas!

Pink Flowers! and Monday Mornings!

Flowers for my pretties!
I have said it before I love my Monday mornings..
This one finds me with more energy  than I have had in a while,
glad to report The Cold is gone.
that would be my cold not the cold.
Whooo Hoooo.
That makes me happy.
It is hubbies last day of a seven day stretch,
which also makes me happy.
So today I am feeling creative,
starting in the kitchen with some preparation for supper,
then on to some arts and crafts,
an afternoon 2 hour scheduled nap,
so no Cataplexy,
and hopefully more creativity.
Have a joyous and wonderful day,
Thank you to everyone whom left me such lovely comments
the last few day.
And remember,
Open your Heart,
and may you have,
Your Very Best Day Ever!

A Special Visitor

a pic I did on Photofunia.
looking at it It makes me think of Spring and my love for flowers.
The day here was cloudy and dreary today,
I spent most of it watching movies,
I did walk on my treadmill,
and my Goddaughter was over for a sleep over.
I put a scarf on my head, big dangling  earrings,
a bunch of bracelets,  and met her at the door like that,
she had on a whole bunch of jewelry.
and her step mom said how excited she had been about coming over.
Well when Child wonder is around all art supplies come out
and tonight she got to play with oil pastels,
She drew a waterfall and flowers, mountains,
I was trying to teach her about close up and far away.
She is going to take her picture in for
Sharing on Tuesday at school.
Oh I so love this little girl.
My kitchen table looks like a hurricane hit it.
but she liked the fact that we could wait and clean it up in the morning,
and of course no she was not tired, did not have to go to bed,
did not have huge circles under her eyes,
and wanted to know if she woke up at four am,
could she wake me up to play.
I told her we had to stay in bed until 7 am.
but then she could come wake me up.
Her big news was having gone to the Justin Beiber concert
with her Dad and her little sister.
Oh did she get excited about him.
She is only eight,
she told me she likes his singing and then said he was very cute,
I asked as cute as Wain, well then she laughed and laughed,
that he was not cute, he was old.
So Wain tickled her until she said he was a little cute.
and then the treuse was on.
She also told us that she was in looooovvvvve with Justin Beiber.
and wanted to know if we were in love,
that got us all laughing again.
............
Anyway it was a lovely night,
I sometimes feel I so missed out on not having children,
but maybe I would not enjoy then as much as I do now.
Besides I also love when they go home to their parents.
and our lives resume to normal.
But I wait patiently for the next little darling that comes and makes my day.
.............
I hope today you just get to be a kid,
one that has no worries or cares,
and just enjoy and be happy.
That would be a good day.

Beautiful Weekend, A whirlwind.

Good Monday Morning,
Here is some flowers to thank all of you for your lovely comments on my last post.
I am so sorry I was not able to answer them and ask that you know I read everyone of them.
.............
The weather here was absolutely beautiful,
Most of the neighbors were raking leaves etc.
so had nice visits and everyone was in such good spirits because of the lovely weather.
I  still have issues with my back, but have been trying to move around as much as I can.
So I did not get down to the park but I did get to watch my neighbors,
Our neighbor next door brings his father over, He has Alzheimers,
He was having an extremely good day,
and seemed to remember us,
He was in a very happy mood,
I think the weather probably was playing a part in this.
....................
There was a domestic violence dispute back behind us,
Our next door neighbor and I witnessed it,
Very disturbing, they were maybe twenty years old.
We called the police,
and the two finest policemen came,
to get information and our statements,
apparently this happens with that address alot.
So they came back to tell us everything had cooled down,
I guess until the next time.
......................
Hubby went out on Saturday looking for a treadmill for me.
He came back and they were all too expensive.
After hours on kijiji
I have an almost brand new one for $100.00
when we went to the address
the house was beautiful,
an exercise glass solarium room,
and right off of that a pool,
and rooms that went on forever and ever.
............
yesterday We went out and I got a really good pair of walking shoes,
so I am set to start my walking challenge.
Did I say I was very excited....
........
Things to make you go hmmmmm.
Saturday I asked hubby if he wanted to do something different,
His reply was yes he would like me to be nice to him,
and then he laughed hysterically.
Hmmmm. I will be nice to him alright!
Today I noticed he had had a shave,
which he usually goes and has one done about every ten days,
I said, Oh honey did you go get a shave while you were out.
No, he says, I got that yesterday.
Why do you think I was so in your face last night,
I said for Gosh sakes, why did you not say anything?
He says well you know how when you get your haircut or colored and I don't notice
for a couple of days, he said you  at least had hair,
mine was all gone.
Hmmmmmmmm I really don't think it is a valid point.
He and I are lucky, we are each others best friend,
...........
so I hope you all had a great weekend,
I  wish you a wonderful day.
May it be your Best Day Ever!

Isn't it a bright sunny day.

Beautiful sunny flowers,
Beautiful sunny rays,
the colors of my curtains lightened by the exposure to the sun.
The air was fresh, the light shining on my furniture,
indicating a light layer of dust that would have to wait for another day.
I had other plans, I lay down to enjoy the peace and beauty of my room,
my home  is more like a cabin than a big fancy house,
It was the last day of August and summer had been good to me,
The sun was shining on my face,
I had to close my eyes,
and the rays were as if they were made just for me.
I got lost in my thoughts of all I had accomplished this summer,
learning to say no for the sake of my health,
learning that it is okay to disappoint someone,
If it is for the sake of your health or if they are toxic for you.
I know my own strength and daily I see that opportunities
may be soon right around the corner for me,
and that is an unbelievable feeling.
I have learned that just as I am,
that I am enough, I really have
become okay in my skin,
and so excited for my future
to unfold however it may.

It is nice to have dreams again and to see some doors opening up for me.
I  see some hope with my health and that is like winning the lottery.
I am in an amazingly positive frame of mind,
have a fabulous day,
........
Update on that silly sign, I am over it.
new mornings, new gifts, new trials and tribulations,
I am working on my gift of jewels card when I get up,
and just may write a few other letters.
I will be going for a walk and trying to speed up a bit.
Have a great day, be well,
and I hope we all laugh until our bellies ache.

Flower Power

My Bundles of Joy,
I planted some in pots,
some seeds right in the ground
The rains came down causing some of them to rot,
To me it is a day of bliss when a new flowering plant is found.
Now my yard is completely empty
of any joys they used to bring.
What a smile is  in my heart
knowing they will
come again
in the
Spring.!
.........................
What is your favorite flower?
I would love to hear.
May you have
your best
day
ever.

They jumped the fence.

When we moved into our home,
the next door neighbors yard was over run with flowers.
They cam in with a gas powered weed wacker,
It about broke my heart.
Over time though the flowers have seemed to make their way
into my  yard.
This year I have hollyhocks about 4 feet high.
So sometimes what seems to be a bad thing
can turn around and become a good thing.
I have fabulous wild flowers that grew in their yard that have made
their way into mine,
it is like they walked right into the proper yard
where they will be loved, fed and watered
so sometime it is greener on the other side of the fence.
The kids that live there now are like grandkids,
too busy to take care of a yard,
so they lawn mow everything.
But what goes on in their yard is none of my business,
I see this beautiful summertime gifts from God,
that are not appreciated.
So when they make it to mine,
the flower lover in me can rest peaceful.
I hope you take time to smell the flowers today.
until next time,

Work Hard, and Play Harder Still.

Hello Everyone,
this is what the boys did over the weekend.
The boys even thanked us for letting them have so much fun.
Are these kids for real.
They got to knock down the old fence with my supervision
and a bit of help,
If it was not for my many coats of paints,
it would have been real easy to get down.
So most of the weekend was spent doing that
but we did find time for other things.

We made time for some berry picking,
my bowl was as twice as full of the boys,
although their stomachs were twice as full as mine.
that's okay though.
I got all these plants from my Dad a few years ago
and this is the best crop we have had.
He would have been happy to see me and his Grandsons picking together.
We all really still miss my Dad  and things trigger memories,
like the raspberry patch.
We all talked about him and were laughing!
So it was nice.

We even took some time to smell some of the flowers,
everything is lush and green,
soon all the flowers will have bloomed,
but I am enjoying them as long as I can.

We got some pictures of some passerbys
One was this beautiful huge Great Dane,
and the other a  little itty bitty dog.
They were quite the sight to see,
my one nephew asked if he
could take the picture, they were more than happy too pose.
So after my nap on Sunday afternoon,
I go outside and I see this,
sitting in my tree that we share with out neighbor,
for a moment I thought it was real and was very excited.
It turns out it was put in the tree to make the pigeons
think it is a real one,
and then they apparently are supposed to leave.
The old house next door has all these crevices
and the pigeons are there and of course more and more
every year. there has to be about fourty of them now.
I will not be sad to see them go if they do...
Will see what happens.
So that was the only owl I have seen all summer, and it was a fake one,Oh well whats a gal to do.
So hours have been spent playing with yo yos,
the yo yos are screamers which mean nothing to me,
So I have learned how to walk the dog,
and have attempted around the world
only to get the yo yo caught around my neck.
Well laughter was in full force then,
it was a good thing I was sitting down
right after that because the boys thought it was hysterical,
and oh my how Aunt Cindy does the most outrageous things,
Little did they know I did it on purpose.
Like cooking hotdogs and putting them all on my plate
except half of one for each of them.
I do these things to get a reaction out of them,
and it works every time.
They told me today they just love coming here,
because there are no rules.
They are so off base,
but I believe in having fun with them,
no tv  or computer, mp3 players or texting
if the weather is nice,
they forgot about that rule.
I don't have to set a bedtime,
because they literally have fallen in to bed every night.
and that is where I should be now,
I am overtired, so not having the best sleep.
Everyone else is sound sound asleep
all tucked in their beds,
The boys on the futon,
with my dog at their feet,
The cat asleep at the window,
my hubby snoring in the next room,
I guess I will try it again.
Have an awesome week everybody.
Hopefully I can get around to visit with you all.
So I hope you laugh often,
and hope you have
Your Very Best Day.
Take care.

Poppies, Dogs, and the sun.

Poppies Abundant in my yard,
Fighting to hang on as nightly they are blown and whipped around
and rained upon the ground,
Somehow in the morning, things turn around,
the sun comes up they stretch again
to say hello to the sun.
Maybe because of our heavy rains
is the reason why they wrap their petals all around them,
protecting themselves from the elements.
Tonight I listen to the fireworks,
and lay my hand on my dogs head,
I tell him he is okay,
but no he growls and barks,
I try to protect him from the elements.
Tonight he will sleep by our bed,
feeling protected and safe,
and in the morning, things turn around,
he will go outside, forgetting the noise
the sun comes up, he stretches again,
to say hello to the sun.

I am Leaving It to you!

There is a message behind these photos,
Can anyone guess what it is?
