this is one of my favorite places in the whole world. my husband and i walked to the other side of the bridge and then went for along walk.so peaceful, the air smells so great. if you ever get a chance to get to canmore which is just outside the banff national park it is a wonderful place. their main street has the most unique shops and the people are fabulous. oh so very friendly. lots of skiers in the winter, one year when we were there they were overrun with rabbits. they were literally everywhere. so we have had many excursions up here. it is definately gods country. spring and fall you have to be careful of bears as they come down from the mountains. the river is so crystal clear. there are many artists up in this area as well. first outing this summer will be here if at all possible.

Believe
Look at this lovely bear. She was given to me by a friend. I just love her. she plays the song...all you need is friends...
I also love the saying on her shirt...it says,
To Achieve, all you have to do is Believe!
and that is true you have to believe in yourself to make anything happen in life.
one of my favorite songs is I'm a Believer. I think everyone should start their day with it....
question...when are we too old for stuffed teddybears?

vision part one
p.s. I love this picture of my dog...he was not thrilled with me and probably thought oh no its her again.
glasses and more glasses part 2
stephen was a little fellow about 6 or 7. An eye exam was done and he needed new glasses so i went to help him pick out a pair. he tried one pair on ...yes these were what he wanted, i told him let's try a few more....the second pair....yes these were what he wanted. same with the third. I thought he does not care how they look, so i said stephen let's get your buddies to come over and see what they think....So finally we had picked a pair....He was to come back in an hour to get his new glasses. He came in and picked up his glasses which were fitted for him...yes he could see much better. he was given a case and told how to take care of them...we proceeded to finish with the rest of the kids. As stephen was leaving i said stephen why are'nt you wearing your glasses. He looked up at me with big brown eyes and said....oh no i can't wear them in case I LOSE THEM. ....I will never forget him....I just wanted to give him a hug and cry....so if anyone out there has old glasses please donate them to the vision programs. That little boy was special and a year later when the next class came in I asked about stephen and the teacher said, oh yes he wore his glasses and was able to see the blackboard and had passed into the next grade. So I guess he got over the thought of losing them. I think of him often at what one little thing can make all the difference...be it a pair of glasses, a smile, or a kind word....

Some of This and That
Well the first thing is I am a little annoyed with Facebook. All over our news about their new contracts that they can manipulate any of our information or pictures as they like...not that I ever have to worry about what I post or upload....tempted to get off of it although I stay in touch with so many of my family....I guess there always is the phone.....oh what to do?
Another thing I have to mention Smilebox....I love it. It is a scrapbooking site with music and over 2ooo designs. I love it although I have just stuck to the basics because there is no cost. I can send them in emails and everyone loves them. I recomend you to check it out.
I am also anxious to see what is going to happen with our free trade here in Canada. I am a big fan of Obama and hopefully our borders will be kept open.
As for healthwise I am feeling really well today. These days are rare so when they come I take full advantage of them. I was able to walk three blocks yesterday....Now I know that does not sound like a lot...but for me it was....i believe it is from my new drink every morning.....no not alcohol///burp...lol ...hot water, 1 tsp of natural honey and 1 tsp of cinnamon....I had recieved an email about improving your circulation and I have already noticed a difference......So I am a believer....thats all for now. take care.

lots happening
Well I had quite the day today. i had a cstomer service rep ask today if I was a Senior., now my loving younger sister thought this was a blast. the last time I got questioned about my age was going into a bar when I was underage. Now I have to say I DO NOT LOOK A DAY OVER 45!!!!!!!!!!After I got over the shock of being asked, we put on some music from our past, cranked the stereo and i about threw out a hip!!!!lol!!! We went to a couple of goodwill stores. I bought a fab picture for 6.00 and just enjpyed my outing. Tonight we watched American Idol....ny 2 newphews, my sister and I......What I did wrong today is get off my schedule. I have a condition called Cataplexy which is one of the symptoms if Narcolepsy. It is rare disorder and because I have it severly I have to stick to a schedule. cataplexy is triggered by certain emotions and causes loss of muscle control, Mine is usually triggered by laughter.my medications help somewhat, The more tired I get the more episodes I can have. I can be lots of fun at a party!!!!!LOL....although I usually am asleep. i will tell you more about this one day...take care . I hope your day was a great one.

fires in Austrailia
the last I heard was 128 people killed. the fires are stilll burning out of control. i did read today that there are usually 60,000 fires in Austrailia in a year, and suspect that at least half are set or suspicious. this is horrible. to our friends down under please know that they are in our thoughts and that we are praying for their safety and health. I believe contributions can be made to the red cross if anyone would like to help.

Recession
well I have to say that all the talk of the Recession can put panic not only to society but in ones head as well. All week on the news I have been hearing of job losses, companies being bought out or closed. The governments plans for putting money back into our economy will put us in a major deficit. how easy will that be to get Canada into a better situation. this recession is all around the world. how do we keep our heads above water if we were already in the boat....something to ponder. or do we just go with the flow and what will be will be. It will be interesting to see what happens. We are never given anything we can not handle. This picture reminds me there will be brighter days ahead. It also reminds me of the Dirty Thirties and they handled the depression then. a Recession is not supposed to be as bad. I guess we will see.

hello
It's amazing how you start doing something and then you stop it and suddenly you really miss it. That is how I felt about my last blog which was through which door shall I go. so this is a new beginning, a new path and a new attempt. I was surprised at my friends saying hey what did you do with your blog, sadly I DELETED IT IN A MOMENT OF INSANITY. Anyway I have regained some of it back so voila. Enough about that....i had an amzing visit with my best friend for about three days. she came for a visit mid January...so some fun was had, although i got her addicted to souduku(should check spelling)of which i will remind her she could hardly put down. As for me I am very interesting in politics and am anxious for President Obama to come to Canada. More and more we are seeing layoffs and projects being put on hold....makes me wonder how badly things will get with the recession. I have had the luxury ol living in one of the most economical provinces in Canada. I am starting to become more frugal..lol...will see how long that lasts. We have had some serious freezing rain here so the roads and sidewalks are sheets of ice. my husband has fallen 3 times and has really hurt his tailbone....so he is home to rest today. Well I have to go and get productive....yes me. lol
